Lineham Ridge from Rowe Lakes Trail hike on 25-Jul-2025

Another perfect day in the mountains on a trip originally scheduled for Tuesday. Late additions to the roster were Arnold, along with Ian and Claudia who must have decided that we were OK after checking us out on their first Rambler trip the day before, plus Philip and Rosanne who instigated an alternate trip to the Rowe Lakes. Something for everyone, with 3 going to Rowe, 3 relaxing at the col on Lineham out of the wind, and 4 tagging the highpoint of the ridge. The flowers were amazing, with abundant Beargrass which was nearly absent or gone to seed on the previous 2 days hikes. A welcome feature on this hike was the largely unburnt forest, providing shade on a hot afternoon. Special thanks to John for organizing the Belly River group camp.
