A fine day for a favourite hike, with lots of time for flower id (sparser than usual this year), photography, and a leisurely lunch at the upper lake. As usual we parked roadside at the shortcut "trailhead" about 800m south of Chester parking, where a lightly beaten in track takes off up the gravel embankment onto an increasingly overgrown logging spur road, leading shortly to the well defined snowshoe (formerly ski) trails. Thanks everyone!
