Sparrowhawk Tarns 216410 Off-Trail hike on 13-Jul-2025

We started out slightly cool. In a few minutes the first stop was made for the jackets to come off. Within 90 minutes we came out of the trees to head up the first of many scenic rises. I had my eyes open for bears as I had seen 2 grizzly bears there the year before. No bears to be seen but one curious fellow was eyeing us as we headed up the trail.

We meandered through the meadows and bands of rock to achieve our goal of eating by the tarns.
